About STephen Bishop, Justice of the Peace

Thank you for taking the time to visit my page. I appreciate the opportunity to introduce myself to you.

My family and I have been part of the community for over 15 years. My wife, Erin, owns a small business cleaning buildings and employing multiple people. Both our children were born in Ely and attend school locally. We enjoy being involved in the community and participating in various local events.

I am honored to have been twice elected, by the voters, to continue to serve as Justice of the Peace, in Ely Justice Court. I have served as your Justice of the Peace for over 12 years and have been a licensed attorney for over 18 years. I am intimately familiar the management and operations of Ely Justice Court and formerly prosecuted cases for the White Pine County District Attorney's Office. 

I am known across the State as an cost-saving innovator and Ely Justice Court has been a leader in bail reform, legislative committees and virtual courts, saving the public money, protecting public safety and providing a voice to the citizens of White Pine County.
